3 French Hens and a Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Sunday-before-Thanksgiving to you all!

As you bake pies, roast veggies and make stuffing this week — remember to sneak in a wee bit of stitching (or a lot!) to celebrate this wonderful holiday. We are ever thankful to a lovely stitcher who sent us her version of “3 French Hens,” our ornament in the 2012 Just CrossStitch Ornament magazine. This unexpected gift is a treasured addition to our ornament collection, as we feather our nest and decorate the home for the holidays.

From our cozy nest to yours . . . we at Primrose Needleworks wish you a mirthful, safe and abundant Thanksgiving.

♥♥♥,      ~Liz

    Dear Elizabeth,
thank you so much for “donating” 3 French Hens to Just Cross Stitch. I’m a nut for Xmas cross stitch but never have enough time to do all I want. However, this little stitchery I will do because I have a dear friend in Christchurch New Zealand who loves chickens, and 3 of my five nieces travel OS as often as they can.

Thank you for your artistry. I hope you produce more of the 12 Days for stitchers. I loved your story about Thelma and Louis.
Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving

I’m so very happy to hear from you and thanks for planning to stitch our little French Hens, who will have a splendid time in New Zealand! We think of our chickens, Thelma and Louis, often and I hope to make a “Thelma and Louis” design some day. Have a wonderful holiday and keep up the good work — there’s no such thing as TOO much stitching, is there? xoxo, Liz

I love the French Hens design! There are two Monsterbubbles designs — “Day One” and “Day Four” from previous issues of JSC Christmas that I want to do for my choir director, and since Heather Holland-Daly has apparently shut up shop forever, I’ve been searching for coordinating designs for the other days, and this one looks great! Nine days more to go!

  3. Hey there! I know this is kinda off topic but I was wondering if you knew where I could locate a captcha plugin for my comment form?

I’m using the same blog platform as yours and I’m having difficulty finding one?
    Thanks a lot!
