Greetings, dear friends! I heard my first “christmas carol” on the radio today. And I’ve yet to buy cranberries and fixings for Thanksgiving!
Okay then. ‘Tis the season. But I vow to maintain a more balanced approach to Christmas planning this year:
- No last-minute shopping, cleaning, decorating, baking, Christmas card-writing.
- Less computer time. More family, friends and nature time.
- Gratitude. Every day. All year long.
I’m ready to do the prep work to make this holiday season less stressful and more meaningful.
The blessings of the season are, to me, intangible. Honestly, I don’t need any more worldly goods (except for that nice Starbucks gift card my brother gives me every year). I am thankful for this day, for my family, my friends and for you.
Are you doing anything different this year? In the meantime, I hope you’re enjoying this beautiful fall Saturday!
P.S. In re the photo: It’s our latest JCS ornament, “Hope for the Holidays.” The four-way color blocking, geometric patterns and snowy-white border make this an easy stitch. Thank you, all, for writing to me each year. I adore hearing from you! ~Liz
