 Crosswords for Cross Stitchers Portfolio

Two of America's favorite pastimes ~ Crosswords and Cross Stitching ~ blended to create beautiful needlework art for the home

Our portfolio of crossword patterns is designed exclusively for the needlework market.  Because of the complexity and size of these pieces, we release only one crossword pattern every other year.  No puzzle solving is required to make these pieces, and the geometric patterns make them fun to stitch.

Interlocking word patterns reflect the unique structure of American-style crossword puzzles -- the kinds of puzzles enjoyed by millions of newspaper readers each day. Display them as conversation pieces in your home. Or present them as distinctive gifts for wordsmiths or crossword fans.

"Coffee Crossword"

Eleven coffee varieties interlock in a crossword pattern that includes a coffee service, checkerboard, flowers and alphabet. It is stitched on 28-count Lt. Terra Cotta linen from Wichelt, with colors from The Gentle Art and DMC. Dimensions: 219w x 99H.

This piece was professionally framed at Where Victoria's Angels Stitch of Clifton, NJ.

I would like to thank Diane Williams, the brilliant designer of Little House Needleworks, for encouraging me to make this design. The beauty and creativity of Diane's designs deserve a separate chapter in the history of modern needlework. Stitchers worldwide are passionate about LHN designs, and for good reason. Many thanks, Diane! ~Liz
